What these tools do
PDF is the standard format for submitting documents, signing contracts and sending reports, but PDFs often need a little work first: several files must become one, only a few pages of a long file are needed, a scan is too big to send, or you need to go back and forth between images and PDF. Each of the five tools here handles one of those jobs. Open the page and use it β no software to install and no account to create.
Common scenarios
- Submitting paperwork: photograph your ID and supporting documents, combine them with JPG to PDF, then bring the file under the portal's size limit with Compress PDF.
- Contracts and signatures: pull out the signature page with Split PDF, and once it's signed and scanned, put it back with Merge PDF.
- Expenses and archiving: merge a month of e-receipts into one upload, or compress scanned records so they take up less space.
- Presentations and sharing: turn a page into an image with PDF to Image for a slide deck or a quick preview in a chat.
Why in the browser?
Contracts, IDs and financial statements are exactly the files you'd rather not hand to an unknown server. These PDF tools are built on the open-source pdf-lib and PDF.js libraries and read and write files directly in your browser. There's no upload step at all, and nothing is left behind when you close the page.
FAQ
Q: Are these PDF tools free?
A: Yes, completely free β no usage limits, no watermarks and no sign-up.
Q: Are my files uploaded to a server?
A: No. All PDF processing happens locally in your browser; our server never receives your files.
Q: Can I use password-protected PDFs?
A: PDFs that need a password to open can't be read. Remove the password in the original app first.
Q: Do they work on a phone?
A: Yes, they work in mobile browsers too. For large files or many pages, a computer is faster and more reliable.
