What these tools do
Coding, testing APIs and editing copy are full of small, frequent jobs: expanding a one-line JSON blob to see its structure, decoding a bit of Base64, making a QR code for a link, counting the words in a draft. None of them is worth installing an app for — open a page and it's done.
Common scenarios
- API debugging: pretty-print responses and pinpoint syntax errors with the JSON Formatter; peek inside JWTs and auth headers with Base64 decoding.
- Front-end work: turn small icons into Base64 Data URIs for CSS, or minify a config into one line for an environment variable.
- Print and events: generate QR codes for posters, business cards and check-in desks, downloadable as high-resolution PNGs.
- Writing and submissions: check word counts in English and Chinese, and estimate how long a talk or script will take to read.
Why in the browser?
API payloads, tokens, configs and unpublished drafts are often more sensitive than files. All of these tools run as JavaScript in your browser, so what you paste is never sent to a server or stored.
FAQ
Q: Is the data I paste uploaded?
A: No. Everything is processed locally in your browser; the pages never send your input anywhere.
Q: Do I need an account or to pay?
A: No. Every tool is free and ready to use.
Q: Do they work offline?
A: Once a page has loaded, the JSON Formatter, Base64 tool and Word Counter keep working without a connection. The QR code generator needs to load its script online once.
Q: Will more tools be added?
A: Yes — a timestamp converter and a case converter are planned. Let us know what you'd find useful via the contact page.
